How To Store
Storing your deliciously baked oatmeal cookies is important to maintain their freshness and quality.
Here are some guidelines on how to store cookie-baked oatmeal properly.
Cool Completely:
Allow your cookie-baked oatmeal to cool completely before storing them. This step is crucial to prevent moisture buildup inside the storage container.
Airtight Containers:
Place the cooled cookie-baked oatmeal into an air-tight container or a resealable plastic bag. Airtight containers will help maintain the freshness of the cookies and protect them from absorbing any odours from the surroundings.
Room Temperature
Storage:
Cookie-baked oatmeal can be stored at room temperature if you plan to consume them within a few days. Properly stored, they can last for up to 5-7 days.
Refrigeration:
If you live in a humid or hot climate, or if you want to extend the shelf life, refrigeration is a good option. Place the cookies in an airtight container or sealable bag and store them in the fridge.
Freezing:
For longer-term storage, you can freeze cookie-baked oatmeal. Wrap the individual cookies or the entire batch tightly in foil, then place them in a freezer-safe container or freezer bag. When properly stored, they can be kept in the freezer for up to three months.
